He's a huge momma's boy right now and as tiring as it is, I secretly love it. I bring him into bed with me around 3/4am because he absolutely refuses to sleep in his own bed after this hour for some reason. He'll sit and whine/cry but find me and crawl over to me to snuggle or lay his head on my chest, belly, leg, etc. then falls back asleep. Now, she runs in and says "mommy I came back! I wuv you mommy!" We had a mommy daughter date yesterday and she was so good and gave me a million kisses. I think she really needed alone time since DD2 got here. </p> <p>While DD2 is a seriously difficult baby, I really try and cherish the little moments is the morning when I am feeding her. And baby stretches. We've had a really tough journey with jaundice in week 1 and then inconsolable crying literally every time she was awake and not on the boob in weeks 2 and 3. At 3 weeks we figured out I had a low supply and she was legit hungry all the time (poor thing!) and we started supplementing. Almost immediately she was a totally different kid who could (sometimes at least!) be awake and not screaming. She can look at us and coo and make funny faces and it just melts my heart. I think because I've always EPd, she's always had to play independently several times a day for 30 minutes--and even after she could crawl, she never crawled to me (on my chair where I pump). Since DD can sit up really well she's able to sit and play with DS an they both love it. He's been loving holding her and giving her hugs. Whenever she's crying he says "Emmy crying, Emmy crying" and walks over to her and tells her it's okay. He always wants to hold hands with her while we say grace. And she adores him. Even when he's hugging her "enthusiastically" she thinks its hilarious! </p> <p>It just...melts my heart. Every day.</p> <p>ETA: I also love how much DS is talking. He sings sings with me and we have conversations.
