I have really only gotten into Shellac since being preg (did solar nails before) and my nails are of such superwoman strength now on their own that the shellac hasn't affected them- just stays on 2 weeks. I hope things don't change too much when not preg anymore! If they file your nails too far down and are too aggressive with taking the polish off, then yes it can definitely damage your nails. But, they shouldn't do that, so it technically shouldn't damage your nails! :) </p> <p>I tried out a new place last week (because it was cheaper. Red flag #1), and the girl was just stabbing away at my nails peeling the polish off because she didn't want to wait until the acetone did its job.
