And I have to talk a lot for my job! I didn't take sick time because I just have PTO and need to save it for LO's sick days or if we hope to have a vacation. Also it would have really inconvenienced some patients if I wasn't here. And then DH was sick last week and took 2 sick days, including one where he no longer was sick but "just to finish feeling better" and LO was at daycare all day so he had a day to himself to lounge. I have never had a sick or healthy day to myself like that! And then he gets MLK day off today and LO still went to daycare because DH said he would "get stuff done." And yet I'm guessing the house will be just as messy and he will have done a little yard work and played a lot of video games. While I am working, sick, and doing daycare pick up and drop off while LO has a parent home and free!! Argh. I told him to change DS' poop diaper and put him down for a nap while I fixed us lunches. He didn't say a word about his appointment so I finally asked and he said "Well the doctor said neither of my complaints were things I needed to be seen in office for. He did agree to give me antibiotics for a possible sinus infection." He was like are you mad because you would have preferred I stayed home and helped you with DS? He's gotten every kid sick and the parents won't pull him because he "technically doesn't have a fever."</p> <p>My sitter cancelled on me at 730am on Saturday when I was sick (from DS' daycare virus) and I had desperately been looking forward to sleeping in while she watched DS.</p> <p>DH and I are both sick from DS but he was up all night melodramatically hacking for hours waking me up several times until I asked him if he'd taken any drugs. "Good idea" he says.</p> <p>Meanwhile I'm 22 weeks pregnant and can't take anything. And DH scheduled a doctor's appointment for 845am this morning at a med center 30 minutes away because he thinks he has a hernia and because he's sick. So I had the toddler again. </p> <p>My coughing is triggering my gag reflex (hello return of morning sickness) which is in turn causing me to pee myself every time I gag. I then told her that I work and whether an afternoon appointment was possible she then was no and went on to tell me that well this is why you have a kid! I was flabbergasted and all I could say was well somebody has to pay the bills...<br /> I was furious when I told DH he asked me why I hadn't just hung up the phone. DH has been working all weekend- from his desk in the corner of our living room. Somehow he squeezed in time to play a video game here and there between calls but is always on a call when I need to feed one of them or put someone down for a nap. His office is closed today but he's been working all day. We have a one month old and I need help. </p> <p>The toddler isn't napping. She's been in her crib for an hour already and is singing and playing with her stuffed animals. </p> <p>DH still hasn't gotten a flu shot. Again- we have a one month old. I have been asking him to do it since September. Trying not to nag but now I'm just asking him every day. </p> <p>Also obviously I'm hardly sleeping so everything annoys me more. </p>
