Then she turned a year old and decided that eating sucked, sleeping sucked and, basically, life sucked..... She's saying new words almost daily and she is really funny! DD is 3 weeks and I hate to say it, but I want to skip past the baby stage. I like the toddler stage so much more. And then age 2.5 onwards again loved- potty trained, talking, interested in more varied activities, etc. In between there were weeks that I loved but I also found the non verbal-trying to be independent-teething molars toddler stage more challenging. This was the case with my older one and is again the case with my younger one. She is just so much fun to be around and I love watching her start to do some imaginative play. She also is super cuddly, although she always has been, and loves chatting up a storm. It was the perfect age of expression, independence but no defiance yet. Im not a newborn person so really this was my sweet spot in childhood. I thought I would love it with my daughter too (who is 14 months) but I admit I have enjoyed her a lot at this age of around 1. She is just so sweet and snuggly and attached still and its so nice. Learning so much, so curious, so much fun.</p> <p>Olive was tougher at that age because she wasn't as verbal. I think the 2 year mark was the most fun with her.</p> <p>It did keep getting more and more fun but the 3's and 4's were definitely way way more frustrating.
