We mostly did 45 minutes (3 miles) three times a week. Then a few longer runs on Saturdays. We had actually only run 6 miles once before the race.<br /> @blackbird: it did to me a year ago. I started with a 5k in August then worked up to this 10k. It took an hour and 34 minutes which is pretty slow but I placed 5,400 something out of 10,000 runners. My goal was to just make it.
