I think the posters above probably hit on the right issue, but just in case... there can be a regression around 8-10 months associated with the new skills of crawling, cruising, pulling to stand, and/or standing. When my son learned 3 of those in one week, his sleep was ruined for a couple weeks.

Antibiotics always made my LO fussy and not sleeping. When I started giving probiotics it helped a lot. Now I just give probiotics every day. I think it's helped her immune system a ton.

@SweetCaroline: not yet, she just got meds in Tuesday. But, maybe they're still bothering her

@pachamama: thanks! I keep telling myself it won't be forever, but it's so hard at like 2 am!

@fairhfertility: I'm hoping things go back to normal after this round of antibiotics.

My son also had a weird nap regression around that time. Turns out he was teething and sick. I also think they are starting to assert their independence. He snapped out of it really quickly and is back to normal. If that helps!

Have you had her ears rechecked to ensure the infection is gone? That is how my DD acted when she had an ear infection. When they lay down the pressure builds up in their ears.

@winter_wonder: , antibiotics can really throw them off I know they even do for me and imagining that small I bet it has a lot to do with it

Do you have her on antibiotics for the ear infection? That can mess with their stomachs. I'd give her some probiotics.

I'm,not sure where this post belongs, but I need help!

DD is 8.5 months and this past week has been a terrible sleeper. She used to sleep from 6 pm to 6 am with one night waking. But, this past week she's only slept in her crib 1 night :bummed:

She'll start off ok, go down easy, but then scream like crazy about an hour later. Whenever I pick her up she almost always has a toot or burp. It almost seems like she's uncomfortable laying down bc when I hold her in my lap she's fine and goes back to sleep.

We haven't changed anything food wise, so i don't know what the issue is. Could she have some kind of reflux?

I should add, she had an ear infection this week, so that might be throwing things off too.

Do we just wait it out?
