She has some black beans, roasted sweet potatoes, a slice of turkey and avocado (always). I sent a banana, cheerios and a pouch for snack/breakfast. She's at my mom's today so she always feeds her more of a real breakfast and other random stuff she has around. LO is 15 months and will finally reliably eat real food - now I have to work on good breakfast foods to send to daycare!

He pretty much takes the same lunch every day. I just don't have the energy to be creative right now! He gets: PB&J on Dave's killer bread (seeded), hummus and bell peppers, applesauce, and fruit. Sometimes I will pack a little treat of fruit snacks if he is having a good week.

On Fridays he gets hot lunch which is pizza with fruit.

I love this post, I'm always looking for new lunch ideas to send to daycare.

LO's two snacks and lunch: raspberry yogurt, blueberries, ham/cheese omlette, cucumbers. (daycare provides snacks like cheerios/goldfish/etc.)

@sandy: he loves it! i do soups, spaghetti o's and leftover pastas all the time. I rotate that a hot meal with a sandwich (ham one day, maybe grilled cheese or turkey wrap another). His school is nut free and it's hard to come up with options!

@winniebee: got it! C will be going full day 5 days a week next year and I have to pack a lunch and I'm kind of stressing about that process! They don't heat up food so I'm trying to think what I can send for lunch that isn't just a sandwich everyday. She doesn't like super hot food either so this would work great for her.

@sandy: we have a bento thermos for school days, and LO1 loves it. I pack her breakfast and lunch in there (there's room for a snack, too). It keeps the breakfast and lunch warm.

@sandy: we have this thermos: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CBFAE6W/ref=twister_B00CP1KWYG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

In the morning, I fill the thermos with very hot water and while it's warming up, i heat up the pasta. I then put the pasta in the warmed thermos. He says it's still warm at lunch time. He hates extremely hot food so I guess it works out well!

DS is almost 21 months and has: veggie burger, cheddar cheese, blueberries, some bitsy's brainfood crackers, and broccoli. Plus he will likely eat an avocado, a yogurt pouch, and an apple or banana. He's home with our nanny so she has free reign to give him whatever - in her words, he "eats like a sumo wrestler."

Both girls are home with the nanny today, but I guess I'm kind of a control freak about their food because I always make their lunch the night before. But now that LO2 is eating table foods pretty well, it's so easy to give them the same things.

Both girls are having pumpkin and winter squash pasta with fennel sausage and broccoli on the side.
