@jh524: Thanks, it's been an emotional week. Hopefully we both make out later this week, I think I'm done testing until I'm actually late which is Thursday I think. It would really be unfair to be this nauseous and scent sensitive, but who knows! It's tripping me out b/c my son was +++ on 10dpo.

@reverie: hey girl. So 10 dpo is still early. I didn't get a positive until 14 dpo last time and i tested every day before that and they were all very negative. Just thought i'd throw that out there! Don't count yourself completely out just yet!

@BandDmommy: ugh I did.... 10dpo and not pregnant. I'm going to try and chill, but I think I'm out this cycle :( It's crazy what your mind can do; I was 95% sure I was pregnant. Siiiiigh.

Did you pee on it or dip it? I saw on some other site that if it gets over saturated that can happen. I'd suspect it's negative but you're still early!

It looks like a bad test. Blue dye tests have a bad rep for things like that. Good luck with FRER!

@reverie: Yea, if you google, you'll see lots of threads and blog posts about false positives on blue dye tests. I've had one too... faint positive on a blue test one evening, stark white first response the next morning and AF showing the next day. All this to say that, at 9dpo, you are DEFINITELY still in the game, but get a pink dye test. :)

@kiddosc: oh boo I hadn't heard about blue dye false positives! :( I was pretty hopeful this was just oriented wrong! I guess I'll know soon enough!

That is weird. I saw the line before reading your explanation, but since some blue dye tests have that line on negatives I didn't think anything of it. If you've had a normal negative from that batch before, I'd be at least a little hopeful? Can you not drink anything for a good while and test again? I'm another bad influence in the poas area. :) For what it's worth, I never had issues with blue dye tests when I used them.

I never trust faint lines on blue dye tests, they're notorious for false positives. Get a cheapo pink dye test for tomorrow.

@SweetiePie: I've thought about it but since i'm 9dpo I'm really afraid of not having "concentrated" urine. It's killing me! If this is a false alarm I'll be pretty crushed!

@reverie: we'll fwiw I do think I see that perpendicular line you're talking about. I kinda saw it before I read your comment.
I'm sure if you called the company they'd say you can't rely on it, but I would think that even if it got put together weirdly, the fact that there's a line means there's something to read???
Keep us posted! I have terrible self control so Id totally test on an frer at work!

weird before you said that the line is supposed to be parallel, i thought i saw a perpendicular one. it is hard to tell though. and i am not sure what it means. it might be a bad test? i don't know. waiting sucks, but i am sure you will get your answer in a few days max. i probably couldn't wait though and i would go buy another one though, lol! good luck!

Before I get into it: I'm going to buy a fancy digital test and check tomorrow which is 10dpo. I know nothing is 100% but am looking to see if others have had this happen / what the general thought is :)

I took a cheapo test this morning... I could make myself think that MAYBE I saw a shadow so I decided to use one of my more expensive tests that I swore I would reserve until closer to my missed period. This is a target brand early response test. The line showed up within the time frame, it's as dark as I'd expect 9dpo, and another test from this batch gave me a normal negative when I had a scare. As you can hopefully see (line much more obvious in person) the line is perpendicular instead of parallel like the example. Is this garbage or is there hope?
