I loved running around with my cousins. Our parents would say it was time to go home, and we'd go hide so we could play another 5 minutes!

My dad taking us to Thrify's for bubble gum ice cream cones..
We didn't have much money growing up, so they were a super treat.

Growing up in a Asian family my parents both worked extremely long hours. So I hardly ever got to see my dad except for his one day of a week. I remember always begging to stay up late (11pm!) so that I can see my dad when he got home from work. I remember sitting in his lap while he had a Bud and some peanuts.

My fondest memory though is when I was about 5 he took the day off and we had a daddy/daughter day. We just went around the city and did stuff, went to lunch and he bought me this mechanical puppy dog. I LOVED that puppy! He barked, wagged it's tail, did flips.
I think about it all the time and so mad at myself I let my mom throw it out!

What's one of your fondest childhood memories?
