I can see anything from 2-3 years is usually the norm. There's something about a child turning two, where parents say, ok... time to have another!</p> <p>For our situation, I never really thought about age-spacing too much. I took a more relaxed approach and said, let's have one and then we'll see. So I just waited til we felt we were ready for another... and that feeling came around when DD #1 was 2.5. DD#2 is here now and they are 3 years, 5 months apart. I'm not worried about how the age difference will affect their relationship. I think there are alot of other more infuential factors. </p> <p>I'm super close to my sister who is 9.5 years older than me, but not to my brother so much who is 5 years older... My younger siblings are 1 and 2 years younger than me. My older sister and I do get along now. When she was in high school, not so much. She was off doing her own thing. As for my younger brother and sister, we fought a lot as kids. Well the one good thing is if I was mad at my brother, I sometimes had my sister on my side. Or vice versa. (well i guess that might be a bad thing because we kinda bullied the odd one out.) Now, we are good. I hope to keep my kids 3 or 4 years apart. Anything less than 3 years apart will just be too difficult. It was what me and my sister has in difference and seeing how close we were I liked it. </p> <p>Now that I'm in that situation I have to admit having 2 kids under 2 (22 months apart) scares me. My son is a mommy's boy and just me holding my niece he wants attention. I know it won't be easy but at the same time siblings less than 2 years apart keep telling me they loved being so close in age with their brother / sister. </p> <p>What's the age difference of your kids ? (or the difference between your siblings and you) please tell me it's not hell and that it's a good thing?! </p>
