I took my sister at 10 and think maybe 7-9 would be ideal. She was old enough that she wouldn't tantrum from a sugar rush/low blood sugar, big enough to go on everything she wanted to go on, and still young enough for the magic of Disney to be very present in her life. And I was really glad we weren't there with a kid still on a nap schedule. I know it's not the norm to wait until a kid is that old, but I thought it was a really great trip. </p> <p>Although I think it's different if you live close and can go multiple times before a kid is 10ish. She also did not really nap at all (I wore her in the Tula and she fell asleep on the bus there from the resort and was asleep for the first half hour we were there, but that was it), and we didn’t have to schedule around a nap. We're going next month to Disney World, with our 3 year old and 16 month old. Our 3 year old is beside herself with excitement and I think it's going to be a great age to take her. You can only choose one. My parents want us all to go to Disney World at some point. We're trying to decide if we should go at 3.5 or 4.5. Will she sort of remember it if we go at 4.5? This would be a big vacation for us - we don't typically go on expensive vacations. When we vacation, we stay with family and spend very little. </p>
