@greenebee: Even though it's a three-wheeler, I don't think the Trekko is for jogging -- I think the manual specifically warns against it. I would just caution you to only use a jogging stroller if you're actually going to jog -- they have more stability at higher speeds, lightweight frames, better brakes, etc.

Thank you ladies! I never knew there was so much involved with choosing the perfect one! We are moving out of Boston to Lincoln, so we'll either be taking a commuter train or our car. I really like this stroller here: http://www.amazon.com/Graco-Trekko-Stroller-SnugRide-Travel/dp/B006YTJSBS/ref=br_it_dp_o_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=380X3H0QR7PJC&coliid=IQX60DG0PG2IE
I definitely would be walking and jogging with the little one, but want to make sure that it's practical for that and for easy transition from the car to the stroller and vice versa.

I went with the orbit system (used) for baby #2 and so far I love it. We have the g2 stroller base + g2 stroller seat + skate board. For the carseats, I have 2 bases + g1 infant carseat + g1 toddler seat. Lastly, I have the bassinet + rocker bottom (mostly I use this in the house and for walks originating at the house). Every single piece has the same base and is inter-changeable, so no attachments to purchase separately or keep track of.

We also have a cybex ruby umbrella stroller for after the baby's turn 6mos/sitting bc having a super compact stroller can be essential in some settings, especially if your main stroller is bigger.

The best stroller for the dollar? Hands down the City Mini.

We chose the (2012) Britax B-Ready over the UBV because the second seating options are better on the B-Ready. (If the wheels had not been upgraded in 2012, I would have chosen the UBV.) I also lurrved the idea that our Britax carseat would snap right in to the B-Ready frame.

I love our UBV. It's perfect for us- we live in the suburbs, and the sidewalks around our neighborhoods can be uneven. It's perfect for "off-roading" :) I love all of the storage space, and the fact that it can be converted to carry two kiddos.
We have a BOB jogging stroller, but I haven't used it yet.

I've heard wonderful things about the UBV. If I was to buy another stroller, I'd probably go with that! We wanted a smaller, lighter stroller so we went with the Bugaboo Bee (which I love). But I'd love a larger basket and a snack tray. :(

I love my Britax B-Ready. I have the second seat for the bottom and it's great. I put my 8 mo in the bottom and toddler in the top.

However, I am looking into getting a double jogger. I think that a side by side model might be better for my littles right now.

We live just outside DC, and while we take the metro on occasion, we're usually driving to our destination and then getting the stroller out. Since we usually have easy access to the car, we didn't need to prioritize having a large basket, but we did need something that could fold up easily and compactly. We also wanted something that reclined, had a big sun shade, and handled well in a variety of settings.
We just used a snap=and-go with the infant car seat for most of LO's infancy- he was always pretty happy to hang out in his car seat, and would usually fall asleep on car rides- it was really nice to be able to just get him out and put him in a stroller without waking him!
We also have a City Mini, as do lots of our friends in the area, and we've really liked it.

I don't think there is one, but we went with the britax b-agile and love it. We live in a smaller town and use a car to get to places and it is easy to fold up and get in and out of a car.

I agree that @LivsMama's questions are excellent!

We live in NYC and needed a lightweight stroller that could be folded and unfolded easily, as well as a car seat that would buckle into taxis without too much hassle or fuss (we don't own a car), so we ended up getting the following combination:

Baby Jogger City Mini stroller: http://www.babyjogger.com/city_mini_sngl_dtl.aspx

Cybex Aton car seat: http://cybex-online.com/us/carseats/aton.html

The stroller and car seat connect using an adapter set that's easy to install, also by Baby Jogger: http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Jogger-Car-Seat-Adaptor/dp/B00155UGTO/

That same adapter set can be used for the Maxi-Cosi Mico, which is the car seat we use for flights, as it's FAA-approved: http://www.maxi-cosi.com/us-en/products/car-seats/infant/mico-infant-car-seat.aspx

Hope that's given you a few ideas!

Livsmama's response is great for guidance. We live in the suburbs so we're thinking about getting the City Select. We're planning on having #2 pretty close in age to #1. Otherwise, the City Versa or the Britax B-Agile would be our top contendors.

For us, it's the BOB revolution. We use it as our jogging stroller, in stores, the city. But luckily, we have a garage and car to store it in, if you live in the city - it might be harder to use. It's so smooth and comfortable. It's kind of heavy to fold up though. We loved our single and just bought a double.

@plantains: good point - I forgot to mention that. The UBV has a TON of storage space.

I also forgot to add that you MIGHT want to consider if you want this to be a single child stroller, or adaptable for more. The UBV has options to add a seat and a rollerboard to accomodate 2 more kids. Its definitely not ideal, and I wish they would release a true double stroller, but it does have the option of expanding instead of buying a whole new one. Dont let that be the make or break, as its not the most important here and now (when you actually need it,) but it is something some people consider

@LivsMama: Great questions! I was going to ask similar ones!

Personally, we're in the burbs of a major city, but we're big runners. So we splurged and go ourselves a BOB stroller. We're so happy with it so far, even though we haven't run with LO just yet since he's only 4.5 months old. Even though we aren't using it for running yet, we love the features and how easily it compacts to put into a car. We do a lot of walking and the car seat adapters were a must for us!

But it all depends on your personality and where you live too!

@greenebee: Another vote for the UppaBaby Vista because we live in NYC too. Just to add to what @LivsMama: said, we needed a good amount of storage space under the stroller because we don't have a car, and the UBV was the best we tried out in that dept.

Congratulations!!!!!

You have to assess your situation to figure out what stroller is best for YOU. We have 3 strollers - The Uppababy Vista (UBV,) the Uppababy G-Luxe, and a BOB jogging stroller. A few factors you have to consider are:

1 - are you in the city, or in more of a suburban/rural area? If you are in the city, you want to look for a rugged stroller that basically doubles as your car. Folding it down isnt as much of a priority if you arent putting it in your car often. If you are in the car often, you want something easy to fold. For example, many of the Bugaboo strollers are incredible...but you have to remove the seat before you can fold the stroller, and that 2 step pricess is a huge hassle with an infant in a car seat or even a toddler you are trying to wrangle.

2-what do you plan to use it for? Short jaunts or a lot? Again, if its a lot of errands and quick trips, you want something portable and easy. We have the G-Luxe (an umbrella stroller) for this. Some people like snap-n-gos, but Liv has hated her car seat since the second she got placed in it so we never considered one. We use the UBV for mall outings or long walks around NYC. We use the BOB for jogging (me) or for hikes and rugged terrain. That all factors in.

3- Budget. Strollers can come super cheap and can go up to over $1,000. You just have to do some research

Sorry to not answer your question directly, as there are so many options. What I did was go to a store in the area that carried my final choices and test drove them. I loved the Bugaboo and the UBV, but went with the UBV bc teh Bug was such a PITA to break down, and I thought the seat/bassinet sat too low. The UBV sits much higher. Plus it has a longer handlebar and is easier for my husband to push. Hes 6;3", so he doesnt kick the back of the stroller.

Hi Ladies,

I'm only three months pregnant, but I am excited and beginning to think about preparing for our LO's arrival with a registry! This one is our first, so we are totally clueless when it comes to gear. So, I'd love to ask, is there a BEST STROLLER EVER out there? What in your opinion should I look for? Any specific brands to look for or avoid? Any help is great!

Thank you!!!
