We have the g2 stroller base + g2 stroller seat + skate board. For the carseats, I have 2 bases + g1 infant carseat + g1 toddler seat. Lastly, I have the bassinet + rocker bottom (mostly I use this in the house and for walks originating at the house). Every single piece has the same base and is inter-changeable, so no attachments to purchase separately or keep track of. </p> <p>We also have a cybex ruby umbrella stroller for after the baby's turn 6mos/sitting bc having a super compact stroller can be essential in some settings, especially if your main stroller is bigger.</p> <p>The best stroller for the dollar? (If the wheels had not been upgraded in 2012, I would have chosen the UBV.) Since we usually have easy access to the car, we didn't need to prioritize having a large basket, but we did need something that could fold up easily and compactly. We use it as our jogging stroller, in stores, the city. But luckily, we have a garage and car to store it in, if you live in the city - it might be harder to use. It's so smooth and comfortable. It's kind of heavy to fold up though. The UBV has options to add a seat and a rollerboard to accomodate 2 more kids. Its definitely not ideal, and I wish they would release a true double stroller, but it does have the option of expanding instead of buying a whole new one. We're so happy with it so far, even though we haven't run with LO just yet since he's only 4.5 months old. Even though we aren't using it for running yet, we love the features and how easily it compacts to put into a car. We have 3 strollers - The Uppababy Vista (UBV,) the Uppababy G-Luxe, and a BOB jogging stroller. A few factors you have to consider are:</p> <p>1 - are you in the city, or in more of a suburban/rural area? If you are in the city, you want to look for a rugged stroller that basically doubles as your car. Folding it down isnt as much of a priority if you arent putting it in your car often. If you are in the car often, you want something easy to fold. For example, many of the Bugaboo strollers are incredible...but you have to remove the seat before you can fold the stroller, and that 2 step pricess is a huge hassle with an infant in a car seat or even a toddler you are trying to wrangle.</p> <p>2-what do you plan to use it for? Short jaunts or a lot? Again, if its a lot of errands and quick trips, you want something portable and easy. We have the G-Luxe (an umbrella stroller) for this. Some people like snap-n-gos, but Liv has hated her car seat since the second she got placed in it so we never considered one. We use the UBV for mall outings or long walks around NYC. We use the BOB for jogging (me) or for hikes and rugged terrain. That all factors in.</p> <p>3- Budget. Strollers can come super cheap and can go up to over $1,000. You just have to do some research</p> <p>Sorry to not answer your question directly, as there are so many options. What I did was go to a store in the area that carried my final choices and test drove them. I loved the Bugaboo and the UBV, but went with the UBV bc teh Bug was such a PITA to break down, and I thought the seat/bassinet sat too low. The UBV sits much higher. Plus it has a longer handlebar and is easier for my husband to push.
