DH proposed 3 days before we left! It was such a fun trip - DH &amp; I really like my parents. Plus my aunt bought us a zipline trip &amp; Mayan ruins expedition as an engagement gift.<br /> We've been other places, but we didn't go on a honeymoon &amp; I just remember how happy &amp; perfect everything felt in Belize. It's a good place to explore (for DH) and relax (for me).<br /> @anonysquire: my husband asks when we can buy a beach house and retire in Belize! I spent three weeks in France and Italy with a variety of different travel partners for different portions of the trip. It was my first time in Europe, and I loved every single day. DH and I were also busy falling in love but were on separate trips, so we wrote these long emails every day. I printed them all off, and they make my heart happy! I have also spent a lot of time backpacking through South America, and there is nothing that I do not love about the entire continent. We loved everything about Tokyo, the subway, the parks, the Imperial Palace, the fish market, and the FOOD was amazing wherever we went. We took a few of day trips outside of Tokyo which were so fun too. The best part was staying at a hot spring hotel in Hakone. Aus and NZ are completely different, like chalk and cheese! I've only done the South Island so I can't comment on the north, but the south reminded me of Europe with its lush green hills and snow capped mountains. Australia is hot, dry, and dusty with some beautiful beaches, but no where near the lush vegetation you find in NZ. I did also enjoy the time I spent in Shanghai for 6-months... it's constantly changing and so progressive. Love it there! </p>
