We recently asked her if she would sleep up there at night so Grandma could have the bottom bunk when she came to visit and my daughter said she wasn't comfortable with that. Luckily there is room in there so we un-bunked them. We ended up caving and getting him the Kura bed from Ikea. It's a bunk, but it's really low and has a rail on the side so he doesn't go over. The room that T (who is almost 4) is currently in is the old master and has two closets and is pretty big. But T is currently in a full sized bed, which takes up a lot of room. I'm thinking that once R is out of the crib, we'll need to reconfigure the room and bed situation. </p> <p>We were thinking of bunk beds for the boys, but I'm not sure how old T should be before we put him on a top bunk. Do you think 5 would be too young? I think many bunk beds have good side rails to prevent falls. </p>
