Fever. My LO was really congested and phlegmy at around 8 weeks and the doctor checked his temperature and his ears. She said there was nothing I could do about it and I just had to wait for it to pass since he had no other symptoms.

I'd say fever. Honestly fevers freak me out and they confirm the illness for me. If there isn't a fever then I'll take the situation more casually/ lightly.

Either I've noticed that she feels warm or she is especially cranky.

LO hasn't been sick too many times, but usually the first sign is a warm forehead.

LO (8 weeks old) seems congested and has a tiny baby cough. We took him to daycare for the first time this past week, and of course on the third day they called me to say one of the babies in the room has a confirmed case of RSV. Lovely! I'm sure he's fine, he seems generally happy, but what is the first sign you look for if you think your little little one might be sick?
