I used to say that the tasks themselves are not difficult at all, especially once you get used to breastfeeding. The most difficult thing was the PRESSURE of always being responsible for the baby. I thought dealing with getting an infant to eat and sleep was the hardest thing ever. Now dealing with toddler tantrums is definitely 10x worse. I am a type-A personality with obsessive compulsive tendencies, so having an entirely separate PERSON who completely depends on you, but at the same time is so unpredictable and has a mind of her own, has been the most difficult.</p> <p>Oh, and being an introvert. The time spent caring, cleaning, cooking, and shopping for Charlie is definitely over 40 hours a week, so it's like having another full-time job. </p> <p>It's worth it of course, but in an ideal world it would be great to have an extra 5 hours a day to get things done!</p> <p>What's the hardest part of being a parent for you? Guilt? Money? Being tired? Your baby's sleeping/eating/fussy ways? </p>
