105.9 after meds and a bath. I hadn't taken it before...I had just picked him up from my IL's and he was so hot. He was almost unresponsive after the bath, just curled on my chest with a blank stare, so I took him to the ER. Turns out he had a double ear infection...the only symptoms he's ever had from ear infections have been high spiking fevers. The lethargy scared me more than the fever did, honestly..

104.9 2 weeks ago with an ear infection at almost 8 months old. I gave her tylenol and immediately took her to the ER at the children's hospital.

104.something. She ended up having roseola. I called into the Dr, and made sure to keep giving tylenol and motrin. I didn't go to the ER though. It came down on its own.

DD had around 103.5 at the pediatrician once (which never happens! They never are actually running a fever when I take them in!). The nurse took a forehead temp and said she was normal, but she was sooo hot. I was shocked it was normal. When the ped came in she said no way is she a normal temp. The ped did a rectal thermometer herself and it was 103.5. She was so mad that the nurse didn't notice that the forehead was wrong.

DS caught the same virus and ran around 102 a couple days later, but that was at home and I always doubt whether I'm doing it right.

When she was born she was really sick and fighting an infection. (long labor and my amniotic fluid became infected which transferred to her) she is 3 now and since then she never really had a fever. Until last week. She was sick all week and got up to 103.8. Its so scary when they get high temps.
