I ended up getting one more shirt at the thrift store for $6 or something around 35 weeks. It was long enough to get through to the end...and I second the idea of dresses, which are so comfortable and you can wear to work.

Good luck finding something that works!

I haven't bought maternity clothes in forever...since before 6 months! I have just been letting it all hang out this last month or so...and I don't even care! I did have a lot of dresses to begin. Shirts are too short and forget about pants...even stretchy ones!

I bought my last few things at 30 weeks. one shirt I got that I still wear was a side ruched top from motherhood and I love it. I still really like how it fits and it was one of the only ones that fit until the end of my pregnancy.
I think it was this one: http://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?Product_Id=93199Z20017&MasterCategory_Id=MC2

Thanks ladies! I went to the mall this afternoon, but I only lasted about 20 minutes before I got discouraged and exhausted. I'll try again after my dr. appt on Tuesday, assuming I'm not showing any signs of impending labor.

I haven't bought any since the middle of 2nd trimester. Don't plan on buying anymore besides a couple pairs of thicker leggings and maybe a fall coat/jacket.

For work clothes, I'd probably buy a couple new tops and a skirt if my current wardrobe stopped fitting. I'm hoping that doesn't happen, but my belly growth has been so fast in the last 2.5 months that I'm getting nervous about it!

At that point I bought some side ruched, non maternity shirts that covered my belly, they still worked great post partum. I think that they didn't stretch out as bad because I didn't wear them for as long.

I broke down and bought a pair of jeans and two skirts at 33 weeks. My work dresses are starting to get a little short. Hopefully my shirts work until the end now at 34 weeks.

ALSO< i wore those dresses for the first 2 weeks post partum. Definitely worth it for me. Mine are "nursing friendly" like @bcpmarj's and I wear them still.
I just did laundry often---I had only 3 outfits that fit at the end and wore them each every 3rd day

If you plan on nursing, target has some maternity shirts and dresses that are also nursing appropriate. They are labeled as "nursing friendly". I am nearly 4 months pp and atill wearing one of the dresses:) You may also find that you are wearing your maternity shirts longer than expected, as most of my regular shirts were too tight on my belly and boobs until recently.

I'm still working, so 2 shirts wouldn't cut it for me. I would definitely need at least 5, so I would be heading out to get a few more. I'm hoping I don't have to buy anymore at this point (31 weeks).

I am also facing the same problem. I went to a consignment store yesterday and got 5 pieces for fall for $53, including 2 cardigan type sweaters that I can probably wear after the baby is born. I'm hoping to work as long as possible so I'm a little nervous about having clothes that still fit. I may just suck it up and literally buy just 5 outfits and wear one each day of the week. I think by then I won't really care that I'm repeating so often!

I'm in your same boat....I just think its too late to go buying stuff now, especially since my doctor recommended I watch my intake and taper off my weight gain.
I probably should get some things but I refuse. I am 33w2d and honestly...I *can* wear all my stuff and it looks OK but it feeellls so tight and uncomfortable.
At home I live ...LIVE....in yoga shorts and a cami.
I will continue to buy bras though! But, I am making all of them nursing bras so they can be used for some time afterward...and I'm making them cute so I could possibly wear them for a few weeks after nursing ends too and be in no rush.

I still plan to be working at that point...and I couldn't wear the same two shirts to work everyday. I'd be heading to the store to pick up a few last minute items.

I refused to buy anymore clothes after about 35 weeks but I also wasn't working and rarely had to change out of yoga pants and my husband's tshirts.

I know that isn't an option for most. Do you plan on being pregnant again in the future? If so, but more clothes because you'll use them again. If not, I'd buy one or two cheap clearance shirts that are really versatile.

I'm 36 weeks Tuesday, and I bought a shirt last week. But only because target had clearance and it was $6, lol. Otherwise I'm just sticking it out and rewashing the same few that still cover my belly :)

At 36 weeks, I'm down to two shirts I can confidently wear out of the house. I have a few shirts that are borderline appropriate, and quite a few things that don't fit anymore. My belly has gotten so big and so low that most shirts just aren't covering it.

It's possible that I could be pregnant for 6 more weeks, or less than a week. I'm thinking about shopping the clearance racks for a few cheap tops (already checked the thrift shops - nothing). What would you do?
