My parents have been married 41 years this April. There had never been a divorce in my family until the last few years. Now both my sisters are divorced or divorcing. The longest was 12 years. My younger sister isn't married and I've only been married for 9 months. My other set of grandparents were married 52 years before my grandfather passed away. DH's parents have been married 32 years and he's an only child. One set of his grandparents got divorced when his mom was a teenager. The other set were married 49 years. Did you know that statistically, couples who make it past seven years are 90% more likely to stay together? (or something close to that, I don't remember the exact statistic) They say that most couples who get divorced do so within the first seven years. You are beating the odds! Go you, I think you and Mrs. Bee seem to have a great relationship and I'm positive you'll make it just as long as your parents! My grandparents just celebrated their 50th anniversary this past August- I'm so proud of them! I love them so much. They still have so much love and respect for each other, they are great role models. @chopsuey119: I agree.
