12 days was the longest. She was typically a once a weeker at most while EBF. Now at 16 months she still struggles with constipation and only goes like.. twice a week? It's hard not to panic when they go that long with a bowel movement but it is normal :)

My DD never did this mythical once a week poop! I think the longest was maybe 2 days? Usually she pooped several times a day!

@coopsmama: We even saw a pediatric GI for her tummy issues (food intolerances), and even he said that she wasn't showing signs of constipation (bloating, crying and TRYING to poop with nothing coming out) and that some EBF babies just really hold on to all those nutrients!

@Rainbow Sprinkles: Woah! Okay, that makes me feel a lot better. That must have just been her normal! :)

@PinkElephant: @avivoca: @Adira: @LC: Man, I'm hoping DH is home when she does decide to finally go. I'll just pass her off to him if that's the case. ;)

2 weeks.

My DD2 struggled like crazy with what i thought was constipation, but multiple doctors told me that it was normal for EBF babies to go up to 2 weeks without pooping. Maybe not normal, but "okay." Nothing to worry about.

Usually, around the 2 week mark, she would finally poop. It was like that for the first 7 months of her life.

my oldest once went 10 days +....she finally let loose in the tub all over DH. We were travelling and didn't have access to a pediatrician, so he was in a warm bath feeding her prunes and massaging her belly, haha.

Don't stress too much :)- if LO requires treatment, it'll probably just be a glycerin suppository. Not super fun to put in, but painless and easy. DD used to need them every few months.

3 or 4 days? When she finally pooped, I was very glad that I wasn't the one changing it. It required an new outfit.

@lilyann: Nope. She seems totally normal and is passing gas off and on like normal. I will put in a call to her doctor by tomorrow if nothing has happened by then it being Friday and I'd rather not wish I had over the weekend.

She's eating completely normally, too.

At that age my LO had a BM about once a week. It was always a blowout that involved and outfit change but she was never uncomfortable.

2 days and I was seriously concerned! lol That happened during the craziness that is the 6-8 week period so I was blaming his temperament on the fact that he had not pooped. Both of my boys pooped several times a day though when they were EBF. Does she seem uncomfortable?

DD is 4 months old and is going on six whole days since she's pooped.

I Googled it and apparently it's normal for them to do that about this age and that you shouldn't be worried until it's been around 10 days but I can't help be a LITTLE concerned. (Even if only because of how much poop WILL come out when she does finally decide to let loose. :silly: )

what about your LO?
