Plus we would joke that my daughter would only poop for the nanny; waiting all weekend until Monday. l Breastmilk is the perfect food and almost all is digestable leaving nothing "extra" to come out so to say. Like PP we were told not to be concerned unless other symptoms indicated discomfort. We finally did end up trying a suppository (after prune juice didn't work). Baby poop seems to vary so much from baby to baby! Like someone said previously, EBF babies use most of the nutrients they intake so there isn't a lot of waste left over. Everything I've read has said that its common for EBF babies to go a week between poops. Yes, FIFTEEN!! Her pediatrician said if her tummy wasn't hard, she wasn't vomiting, she was happy, no fever, etc she was fine but that if she didn't within two weeks to bring her in. She went like normal when she did go, I was so worried though! It didn't really do anything the first time gave it to her so I stopped. I do let her taste different things from my plate...but this is the first time we made something just for her & she actually had a few baby spoons of it. That's the most solids she's ever gotten! That was unusual for her because normally she goes at LEAST twice a day so I was mildly concerned being it was so not her norm.
