I carried my sleeping 23 lb toddler around Target for 45 mins with my left arm while the right was pushing the cart! 5 yr old was walking along beside me, sort of.

@Mrs. Jacks: hehe well thankfully it was just for those 30 mins or so.... then i managed to sit down with him still asleep :). it was kinda comical :) i think i was just more relieved that he had finally fallen asleep!

a hike sounds pretty crazy too because you can't just sit down and end it! :) you have to make it back up/down! :) but yay hawaii.... :)

hehe. i carried him on the plane to fall asleep for about 30 mins. you're right about doubling in weight when they fall asleep!!

he was 11 months old, 23 lbs, and i was 23 weeks pregnant. my arm went numb... haha but it was worth it because naps are precious on a plane! :)

In February, we were in Hawaii and during a hike Lala freaked about being in baby wearing (I think because it was so hot). I had to carry her for a mile and a half. She weighs 25 lbs.

Olive weighs at least 20 pounds... I carried her maybe half an hour this afternoon? It wasn't bad at all until she fell asleep... then somehow she doubled in weight!

Anyway I actually love carrying the kids, especially when they snuggle... maybe not so much in 90 degree heat, but in general it's great. I feel like the kids are getting to the point where we don't have much longer where we can carry them and so we're trying to cherish every snuggie!

What's the longest you've carried your LO in your arms while walking?
