Most people put a swimsuit/trunk over it for cuteness (and I can attest the double layer thing works to contain accidents!) </p> <p>At our own community pool, I usually just use 1 reusable swim diaper + swimsuit. E pooped in a swim diaper and I wrapped her in a towel....which got poo water all over it, in the 5 min it took me to carry her up some stairs to the changing table. I had to wring out her bottoms, too! So not just for looks for us!
