It's just crazy to think that women still die in childbirth - realistically I know it happens, but it's just something I never even think to worry about. So sad for all her family. When the boys were in NICU, a woman went into cardiac arrest during a normal vaginal delivery. Thankfully, they were able to save both her and the baby, but it scared the crap out of me because i think of childbirth as virtualy 100% safe.
