@regberadaisy: Ty rarely goes to sleep before 730. He sees light outside and knows it ain't bed time. Even with no nap his usual bed time is 8. Also Bryce doesn't get home til 6 so when he's home 8 is really the earliest we can swing. When I'm alone it's 730.

@regberadaisy: ditto what @andrea said, but we chill in J's room for 2-10mins until he passes out. Little homey won't stay in his bed if we just leave him! M was ok with us leaving her to fall asleep on her own when she was a little bit older than J, so hopefully he'll be good soon!

@Greentea:  how old is your LO? My eldest took cat naps for the longest time. Till over one then eventually she started taking longer naps by herself. I might've cried when that day arrived. ;)

@winniebee: ugh yes, my LO naps for 20 minutes, it has always been that way. I hear of these magical children that take 3 hour naps. I can't imagine!

I would love to complain. I usually avoid mentioning how little DD sleeps. She is up by 6am and takes one short nap and doesn't sleep until 10pm. Not lucky.

@Andrea: @chopsuey: how long did it take to get to the sweet spot where they sleep earlier? Even on days she doesn't nap bedtime is 830. Sigh.

@winniebee: sigh I remember the cat nap days from DD1. 20 minutes, tops.

I have two non-nappers! It is fine by me. The 2 year old is asleep by 6 pm and my 5 year old by 7/7:30 pm. I have lots of me time at night as a reward for being on the go all day.

Ha ha, I'm with @ninja: nothing was my answer too. My kid is doing this 7 weeks before #2 is due. Seriously, kiddo, I had 7 weeks of peace left, sleep!!!
But yeah, you have it worse. I hope they go back to good sleep :goodluck:

A baby brother that doesn't nap at all either?

T dropped his nap a few months ago and his brain has not caught up. Cranky pants sleeps 10.5 hours total in a day.

Baby brother cat naps. Today no nap was longer than 30 mins. He is 5.5 months. He wakes at night usually twice and is up by 5/6 for the day. Come 9 pm I'm about ready to drop to the floor.

My first thought when reading your title was "NOTHING!" But, having the little one drop a nap too must be killer. My 2.5 year old has decided not to nap for the last couple of months, and he is a super whiny crabby pants at the end of the day, so I feel some of your pain. Luckily my younger one is only 9 weeks, so he naps a ton.

Her baby sister, at the same time, working on dropping down to one nap. Some days it's one nap and some days it's two. But almost always, for the past two weeks, up for the day by 530/600am. And still waking every 3 hours at most.

Big sister is fighting naps but sometimes her mind loses to her body which means I leave the room for 5 seconds and come back to a toddler sacked out on the couch. Most nights she's not in bed till 9pm then sleeps till 7am.

*yawn* this will all even out eventually, right?

Who else wants to complain about naps and sleep? Or lack thereof.
