Cool! There are a ton of girls in my family and DH's, and we have two girls also. Girls are so fun and sweet and I don't see why a girl (or two) can't be "mini-DH"s as far as looks and personalities go!

Micro-penis... ha!

Thanks for your responses, everyone.

Now that I've had a few hours to think about it, would I trade DD's baby sister for a boy if I could? No, I would not. I'm really excited to give DD a sister close in age. My head is spinning at how quickly I've changed my mind but im going to chalk that up to pregnancy hormones.

Cool fact 1: my sister's DD1 is 5mo older than my DD1. My sister's DD2 will be 4mo older than my DD2.
Cool fact 2: my DD2 will be the 5th girl born into DH's family in 3yrs.

Who runs the world? Girls, at least in my family.

Even though I told everyone I didn't care I was thrilled when I found out LO was a girl because I really wanted a mini-me. If we have a second child, I truly don't care about the gender since I already have my little girl. A boy for DH would be awesome, but another little girl would be great too (sisters! Reusing clothes!)

This is my first LO, and i'm already worried now that I know she's a girl that LO#2 won't be a boy! i think it's perfectly normal - i would be sad if DH didn't have a mini-DH, even though i know i'd be thrilled with two healthy children. Don't feel bad about feeling that way - i think it's only natural (or i'm a bad person too)! at least you have months to get excited about her being a girl...and you have less to buy since you already have girl stuff :)

oh and we received the same "we THINK it's a girl" at our a/s, and DH's response was "well i hope it's a girl, because otherwise it's a very underwhelming boy!"

I was only disappointed finding out A was a girl because we were team green! I think this time if it's a girl I may be bummed for a minute because that would mean I would never get my boy, but that's ok. Congrats on a healthy baby momma!

I just had my a/s this morning. LO looks great but was jumping around all over the place, so the u/s tech was pretty sure it was a girl but not 100% sure. The doctor came in and couldn't get a super good look either, but was leaning girl, too.

I'm 50% so excited for DD to get a sister bc I have a sister that I love dearly, and 50% sad it's not a boy. I can't believe this is how I feel bc we TTCed for 1.5yr and had to do IUI 2x. I'm incredibly grateful it's a healthy baby. But I want a mini-DH! DH says he wants girls only bc they're mini-me's - and he gets 2! It's not fair!

When we were TTCing LO1 I pictured a boy. We were TG, so when we found out it was a girl at birth, we had zero time to be disappointed. Now I totally regret finding out. I wish they could at least have definitely told me it's a girl, bc now I fear that if it does turn out to be a boy he's going to have a micro-penis.

Were you disappointed when you initially found out your LO's sex? How did you get over it?
