Maybe you can change the spray bottle, to get a bottle that sprays more water at a time?

We change diapers in the bathroom, so I use my sink to wet the washcloths.

@pelikila: Yeah I think that's what I'll probably end up doing. Just wanted to know all my options. Either that or I'll just try spraying her tush again, see if she still dislikes it.

Have you thought about wetting just enough for one or half a day's use every day? That way they aren't just sitting there but you have them presoaked.
And I really like Thristies cloth wipes.

@MsMamaBear: @owlmom: I use both wash cloths and grovia wipes. Wash cloths work just as good, I wouldn't spend the money on special wipes if I were you.

I found an etsy seller that sells 25 bamboo wipe sets for about a dollar a piece, so I might pick up those. I think I will make a wipe solution with tea tree oil and witch hazel, then pre-soak them and use a wipe warmer to store them in. I will probably use a spray bottle with solution for travelling. That is just my plan for now though, I might tweak the system as things go on. I think as long as you properly maintain your wipe warmer (clean it out with anti-bacterial solution before refilling every 2-3 days) that it should keep quite clean, plus the tea tree oil and witch hazel in the wipes solution should suppress bacterial growth.

@MsMamaBear: yep - we just use baby washclothes. I'm tempted to try some of the wipes made by cloth diaper companies, but we got a bunch of washclothes as gifts - I'm cheap and they work fine, so I haven't bought any yet.

I'm just pregnant now but we're planning on diapering in the bathroom and I'll run the cloth wipes under the water. (Although it might be chilly as the the sink water upstairs takes a while to warm up).

^ lol I was just talking about that in the wipe warmer thread!

I spray her directly then wipe usually. Sometimes I spray the wipe, but not always. Yeah it takes a while to feel wet enough that way, I guess because of the wipe's absorbency.

I spray LO's bottom directly. I've read that for presoaked wipes, you should add a little bit of tea tree oil to your solution because it has antiseptic properties, but I haven't tried it yet...

Right now I have a spray bottle that just has water in it and spray the wipe, but it takes forever for the wipe to get wet enough. I tried just spraying her tushy but she doesn't seem to love it. I'd like to presoak, but I feel like they'll get gross if they're sitting in water for a while.

What do you do?
