Lunch: Peas (defrosted frozen), baked squash cubes, watermelon, Mac n Cheese

Dinner: Zucchini Spaghetti, squash, Sweet potato fries, bites of whatever we are eating.

@butterbean: somehow I missed your question. I give small pieces of soft fruit unless I don't have any. Then I do a pouch.

@petunia354: I spoon feed him a pouch. He hasn't figured out how to do it himself without it squirting everywhere. If its almost empty I will give it to him to suck the rest out.

@butterbean: we cook brown rice and then blend it with everything and a bit if hot water because the rice can be dehydrating and tough on her system.

@petunia354: we put the pouch food into a bowl and spoon feed her. I read that eating from a pouch is bad for their teeth and so we just didn't want to start her on eating from the pouch directly so she never had the chance to get a preference for it.

Hey December mamas, I missed this thread! LO has 2 teeth and she eats purees, but does it some table food (mostly, bananas, puffs, steamed carrots, peas, pears). Today LO was whining for some of my dinner so I gave her a couple of pieces of my tortilla and she ate it like a champ. She has had crackers before and ate them fine they just upset her belly- we are still dairy free and found even stuff manufactured on the same equipment upsets her belly:(

@butterbean: I don't cut it up! Just let him chew it/feed himself.

Regarding pouches, I do let him suck on them at lunchtime, but daddy tries to make him eat with a spoon if we feed him one for dinner. LO likes to be independent, but he can't eat from a pouch forever. So we are stuck on this conundrum too.

Peeps who pouch feed.....do you spoon feed them the puree or do they eat it straight from the pouch? DS much prefers sucking on the pouch but I try to spoon feed as much as possible. I mean, he's not going to be eating from pouches forever so he should learn how to eat from a utensil, right? What do you do?

LO was born 11/27 so almost a December baby! She still does mostly purees, but this week I've been offering more table foods: chopped up blueberries, strawberries, banana, avocado. It makes a huge mess and she barely gets any in her mouth, but she'll sit there for a very long time trying and trying again. When we are out, we do a puree pouch and I try to order something for her to try. Yesterday we went to a pho restaurant and I let her play with some cooked noddles.

She has eight teeth! So I'm trying to offer her more things to try and worry less about choking lol

@petunia354: i don't think you are behind  as long as your DS is eating well, then that's all that matters...my daycare suggested bringing in another snack for my LO. He has 2 meals a day (lunch and dinner - which are both purees)...

@MamaJ: do you give your LO fruit in pouches? or small chunks?

@chopsuey: that's exciting his two teeth are coming in! no more gummy smiles

@rattles: how do you make your purees a little chunky? do you just add less water to the mix? and how do you puree chicken?

@gracecat: wow! 6 teeth already!? do you use rice cereal? or cooked brown rice?

@wheres_c: you are making me hungry after reading your LO's menu!! do you cut up the pasta in smaller chunks for your LO? or just give it to him as is and watch him play with it/feed himself?

@dolphin: do you give your LO the entire pouch to finish? the teeth will come in before you know it

@oahujeni: what a healthy eater!! can't wait for my DS to turn into a "garbage disposal"..hehehe

We've been doing BLW since 6 months, and up until 2 weeks ago he just chomped on the food and barely swallowed anything. Now that he can pick up little chunks of food he turned into a garbage disposal - shrimp, peas, mango, yogurt, quinoa, chicken, blueberries, polenta, scrambled eggs, sweet potatoes, pasta, and all kinds of steamed veggies.

We're feeding similar to @rattles.
He was born 12/6 and has 2 teeth.

Breakfast: toast, oatmeal or yogurt
Lunch: jam sandwich, mock chicken salad sandwich, mozzarella and tomato salad, Greek yogurt and fruit, etc......(one of those choices)
Dinner:whatever we are eating: today it was lentil loaf and broccoli.
I am trying to make things that he can eat....veggie burgers, chicken, pasta.
If I am lazy, or what we are eating isn't suitable he gets a stage 3 pouch.
These pastas are awesome:

DD is surprisingly picky and will only eat the pumpkin brown rice puree that I make her though she will have some happy baby pouches but only wintersquash and the pear peas flavor. I tried giving her avocado and banana and many other pouches but she makes this face, like "I thought you loved me, how can you give md this crap?!" She does like soft bread and puffs though and mum mums because she's teething and has six teeth already!!

We're kind of in a transitional time. We do three meals a day. She has 1.5 teeth, ha, so we're slowly introducing finger foods. Otherwise, she gets homemade purées that are chunkier than store-bought. Breakfast is usually a fruit purée like raspberry-peach or mango-papaya swirled into Greek yogurt (I eat it too, which she loves) or with toast. Lunch is a veggie/protein purée with puffs or a mum mum while I heat it up. Her fave is a chicken/sweet potato/apple combo, but sometimes she just gets something simple like peas or green beans. Dinner recently switched to finger foods deconstructed from our own dinner with prunes for dessert since we have constipation issues.

DS just cut his first 2 teeth this past week. :)
He gets puree's 95% of the time. Sometimes I'll pop a piece of egg, pancake, avocado or banana in his mouth.
He's not a big fan of chunks though.

My LO still doesn't have any teeth, so I'm leery of going BLW right now and we mainly do purees, even though she likes the chunkier stage 3 ones. I let her feed herself soft table foods like avocado (I just give her a huge piece that she cant swallow whole and she'll just knaw on it), and sometimes tiny bits of something like a pancake. I still put bananas in the KidsMe silicone feeder bc I read that is the #1 food babies choke on. For breakfast, I'll give her half a jar of earth's best apple yogurt oatmeal with mashed banana mixed in (she loves!), for lunch I'll feed her the rest of it (she doesnt care lol), and for dinner I will give her some avocado as an appetizer and then feed her stage 3 chunky purees that have chicken or beef with vegetables.

I started warming her food too, and she really likes that and has been taking better naps following a warm hearty meal:)

And she is still BFing 4-6x a day plus I nurse to drowsy for her naps/bedtime.
