I got hooked on it because my BF in middle school ate peanut butter sandwiches with honey drizzled on it. I didn't want to go through the trouble of doing that (too many extra steps for an 8th grader I guess), so I went to the store and tried Peter Pan's honey roast. It tastes exactly the same! Sweet and savory at the same time. The reason it is recommended that you refrigerate it is that it's "natural" and doesn't have many preservatives, so the natural oil CAN go rancid over time. I believe they say that if you won't finish it within a month, you should refrigerate it. We always finish ours within like 2 weeks, but refrigerate it anyway.
