When we're in wine country, we usually picnic with basically what you have - cheese, charcuterie, bread, fruit, salad. There's a shop in Napa where we like to stop by and pick up sandwiches, but that's basically just an assembled version of the above.

With what you have already, I would add a good jam, and some berries or peaches.

Enjoy your picnic - what a wonderful way to spend your anniversary!

I have classically awful English taste in picnic foods, so I love anything like mini Scotch eggs, cocktail sausages, mini pork pies, sausage rolls, all of that. Plus cheese. Mountains of cheese. With mustard. God, this is making me so hungry. Back in a bit.

We do a picnic in the park every year, they have a show out there and we like to eat first. My mom always packs our dinners- I love to snack on cheese and crackers, shrimp, hummus, etc. Then she usually brings a variety of meats and breads so we can make sandwiches. She's brought chicken, turkey meatloaf, egg salad, etc. There's a bunch of us so there's something for everyone.

DH and I are doing a picnic lunch at a winery for our three-year wedding anniversary next week. I'm looking for some food inspiration! What is your favorite item to bring to a picnic? Finger foods? Cocktail party dish?

We will definitely be having cheese, prosciutto, a baguette, olives and nuts. We'll be in Zin country if that makes any difference. (Side note, sadly DH is not a sweets person although I may try to find the time to bake some carrot cupcakes for the occasion).

Thanks in advance!
