My overall stress level is quite low compared to when I was working. I'd have anxiety attacks on the subway and while on conference calls. Not good.

The majority of it came from my inability to deal with people who didn't know what they were doing but insisted on certain things. Most of the time I would be able to at least open them up to hearing other opinions, but there were some people who were just too stubborn.

Now that I am at home full time, I have a different kind of stress. I find that talking is my stress reliever. I am much better when I can just vent and get it out of my mind.

I try to stay stress free, but it is hard for me. My husband is good at keeping my stress level low because he is a pretty laid back person. We are a good balance.

I'm not a stressed-out person. My husband, on the other hand, he holds the stress for four people. I get overwhelmed once in a blue moon and normally don't react well to it since I'm not used to it!! If I get stressed out at home or at work, I do try to think about things for a while before I act on them to make sure I'm acting reasonably.

Now that I'm a SAHM stress isn't too bad. Of course I have my days... and my husband and I both have chronic health issues so we have to deal with that. But I wouldn't say it's too bad at all!

@MrBee: Have you tried meditation? My MIL swears by it.

I am a stresser/anxious/Type A person. Most of it job related - but it's also job, plus house, plus errands, plus everything else. Working out really helps me. Now that I'm on bedrest and taking a little time off work, stress level is pretty low, though I now have more stress relating to trying not to go into labor. Trying to stay "busy" so as not to fixate.

A lot of my stress comes from time management. I have a full-time high stress job & am a full-time grad student at night in a completely different field which is tough. Add TTC to that and I'm generally stressed all of the time. I know I need to work on relaxing but it's tough. I recently joined a gym and that has helped a little.

I'm a big worrier (sp?) of the future. I need to remember to stay in the now. I'm also somewhat of a control freak so I'm always constantly thinking of things I need to get done.

Breathe! DH and I both have high stress jobs so that's our main cause of stress. I don't think he de-stresses very well. As for me, I find that prioritizing helps me manage my job and stress. I always feel like I have to get everything done ASAP and no, I can't do that so I have to just prioritize.

My husband and I are very laid back and designed our lives that way. But with baby, our predictable delicate design has come crashing down and we have to actively rebuild it to make it stress free. We can't just go surfing, eat out and go to a movie. So ours looks like- hiring a housekeeper, gardener, going for a night in a hotel (once every 3 months). On a daily basis, just getting to bed an hour earlier and making sure we have good groceries in the house is a huge effort when we are stressed but it pays off really well in the anti-stress department. We're going to try a eat-out only week this week and see how that goes, just to change up the grind and ease up on the cleaning, hunting/gathering. We will spend all of our grocery money on take out and restaurants for one week and eat what's in the pantry if we run out of funds.
One more thing... special drinks and snacks help cheer us up: smoothies, mocha powders, chocolate milk, orange juice and nuts/jerky.

I live a pretty low stress life. When I do feel stressed or overwhelmed, I take a few minutes to just breathe and relax.
The last time I was stressed was at my LO's birthday party. -.-

I've been trying to get my stress level down, but it's not easy. I am focusing on stress though, as I'm sure staying in a high-stress mode for years (decades?) is not a healthy thing.

What's your general stress level like? How do you manage the day-to-day stress?
