However we moved shortly after that and I got it confirmed at 16 weeks with an elective ultrasound. </p> <p>I'm pregnant with number two. Funny thing about the pregnancy number 1 was I swore I was carrying on my right. Just found the ramzi method today and I checked my sons 10 week again and definitely saw the placenta on the right. </p> <p>I'm not sure about this one, and only one person has said right meaning boy, but who knows. I'm waiting till the 18th to have an 11 week ultrasound and I'll be able to really see the baby and placenta then. </p> <p>As for old wives tales, I'm just not into those, but my in-laws said "bananas = boy, strawberries = girl." The ring test, I've seen both. back and forth = girl and circular = girl - dug up my old blog post when I tried it and it was back and forth and I had a girl. And further along in the pregnancy, most people could guess correctly with the bump look. She says it's been right for the last 6 pregnant women she's tried it on (including me...she did it on me on 3 separate occasions, before we found out, and every time it said girl. But if you hold a baby boy and your baby in utero moves like crazy, it's a boy! If it doesn't, it's a girl.
