I let my son help in the kitchen, scooping oatmeal, washing something in a bowl, that kind of thing.

I also made him some play dough and he would like to stick penne pasta in it.

I don't have a kid old enough to do activities yet, but these ones are exciting me on Pinterest (hopefully pictures are in same order as links):

@SugarplumsMom: HA HA HA. That's awesome. :) We are still finding pasta here and there because she started carrying handfuls over to her activity table and putting the pasta into the little drawer in it.

@mediagirl: I envy you. My DD would dive into the bowl, pour pasta on her head, then I'd spend the next month finding pasta in every nook and cranny.

A friend posted this on our Facebook group the other day and I thought it was a great idea. A big bowl of dry pasta. I put out a couple of small bowls next to the big bowl and let her sort it. She spent an hour playing with pasta and the bowls. I added in some little cups and spoons and she practiced "scooping." When she started feeding the dog dried pasta is when we put it away...

I made little man some sensory goo yesterday that I think turned out really well! But I was more impressed/ had more fun with it than he did. He was very meh about my hard work.

But I'm trying to find things to keep him occupied because little sister is running a fever/teething and I've been sick for a week. So what's your go to toddler activity?

Bonus points for links / instructions / photos / or using common hosehold objects. :)
