Depends on how long Fia sleeps! about 1/3 of the time she gets up around 6:30 or 7, and if so my husband gets up with her and changes and dresses her and feeds her while I sleep in until he has to get in the shower around 7:45 or 8. Then I play with her until it is time for a nap and put her down then eat my breakfast. Then when she gets up she eats again and we play for a little bit then I give her a bath and put her down for her second nap of the day while I hop in the shower and get ready for the day.

If she sleeps until 8 or later, I wake up whenever she wakes up and get up and change and dress her and feed her. If she's in a good mood she goes in the bouncer and I chat with her while I eat something and then she gets her bath and goes down for a nap and I hop into the shower.

Right now, Dh wakes up with LO and changes and feeds her a bottle, then he unceremoniously dumps her on top of me in bed so he can go get ready for work.

I let her play and roam for a little bit in the living room while I make coffee and get my pump parts ready. Then I put her in a baby container while I pump--after pumping, she goes into her highchair for breakfast (we eat together), then play time again, diaper change, and first nap 2 hours after her wakeup.

Same every day unless we have an early appt or something, then I wake up earlier to pump and get ready so we can leave right after LO eats solids.

wake up, change diaper, let her play in the living room while I make her lunch bag. Daddy eventually wakes up and comes out to keep LO entertained while I shower and get ready for work. Then we swap and daddy showers while I get LO washed, brushed and ready for daycare. I leave first but depending on her mood, daddy may take her to go get breakfast outside or he'll keep her home and feed her at home until it's time to drop her off.

I'm just in survival mode at 10 weeks with twins. My morning routine is feed them until they go down for a long nap. Usually the Today show is on while this is happening. I also shove Chex cereal in my face whenever I have a free second. Very glamorous!

Lo wakes up crazy early and dh gets up with him and makes them both breakfast. I get up around 6:45 and take over so dh can get ready for work. We play and hang out while i eat breakfast. Usually we go for a walk to the playground down the street and play until his nap at 8:45.

The parenting aspect of my mornings (during the week) is pretty limited. I get up and get Xander's bottles and food ready, put it all in a bag and put it back in the fridge. Then I get ready for work myself (shower, hair, makeup, clothes) and leave, all while Hubs and Xander sleep.

I don't have one! LO sleeps until 8 and I have to leave at 7 for work, so DH does mornings.

This morning it was R waking me up before my alarm was about to go off. Sad Mama, no time to myself this morning. So I took a quick shower, then went to get her. I got ready (non washing hair day so faster) while she played in the bathroom and closet. Then I made her breakfast, she pooped, so I changed her, reheated her breakfast. Fight with her to not put her fork through her hair, and eat breakfast. Cleaned her up and then got her dressed. Grabbed my lunch, made sure I had her sippy, and we were out the door at 710.

Usually, I do nothing on the weekdays because I start working at 6 am. DH changes diapers, changes clothes, takes LO 1 to the potty, gets breakfast ready, gets daycare stuff ready (I pack lunches at night), eats, does LO 2's exercises, reads a few books, applies sunscreen, brushes teeth, he changes his clothes and then they leave for daycare/work.

I wake up, get dressed, get DS, change him, we/he feeds the dogs and lets them out in the yard, we get his milk/yogurt, I put my face on, brush our teeth, and we're off to my mom's. Sometimes DH takes him or sometimes my mom comes over to our place. Those days are easier (obviously).

On my WFH days I try to eat breakfast with DS (after all of the above) and start my work day a lil later. So we read/play after bfast too.

usually I"m on my own in the morning, so we nurse for EVER in bed, then I change her diaper, make coffee, make her breakfast and set her in her chair to eat, then make my breakfast, then eat as fast as I can, clean her up, and then she plays while I do the dishes.
This month my husband doesn't have to go into work until 7:30, so he's been home and helping some, or letting me sleep in until he has to leave.

morning and evening are probably our most routinized parts of the day, which I imagine is common. Once she is more consistently on one nap, I'd like to add a similar routine to mid day, to create an additional anchor point in the day- but its hard right now when things are a little unpredictable!

I wake up, feed the cat, do the dishes, make the kids breakfast, give them hugs when they wake up, sit down at table with the kids until they're almost done eating (while Bee packs their lunch), go to bathroom to shave, come out and help brush the kids' teeth and then head out the door.

Every morning is exactly the same! There is zero fluctuation... unless one of the kids sleeps in, in which case maybe I don't shave that morning. It's basically the plot to Groundhog Day...

What's your morning parenting routine?
