My son is a JJ. Not on purpose, I just liked the name. I have another J name if we were to have another boy, but it's just a name I really love.
For a girl it would be an N. :silly:

I like it with most names. DH though is alliterative and wanted to avoid it for LO.

This isn't exactly the same, but I get kind of annoyed with the families with a million kids who all start with the same letter, so sibling alliteration? Like Kelly, Kyle, Kristin, Kim, Keith etc and parents names are Ks too.

I generally don't notice at all...but sometimes I think it ends up sounding more professional/polished--although that depends on the particular name.

Our LOs first and last names are alliterative and I really like it (I mean, obviously. I chose it). In her case, I think her whole name sounds like either a news reporter or a doctor.

Never bothered me. I had one before marriage (same letter) and after (different letter but same sound). We may give lo#2 matching initials (though doesn't sound alliterative). It's hard enough to pick names without worrying about that!

It always makes me think of a cartoon character (Mickey Mouse, Roger Rabbit, Daffy Duck, etc.) Kind of silly for a real person. We're definitely avoiding it.

I had this with my maiden name, I didn't mind it at all. My name starts with an M so some kids made jokes about mmmmm or m&m's but really that's not bad at all compared to the way kids can tease.

ETA: Other than being alliterative my names do not start or end similarly though, so they aren't rhymey or too flowy at all which I think helps.

My DH's initials are WWW which I think is cool :)

I don't mind it at all but of course if varies depending on the specific sounds and syllables

Like @Mrs. Pen our last name ends in an "en" sound and so we generally avoided thinking of first names that ended in the same sound

It's not that I hate them, but I hate them with my last name. We have a very long German last name with a W and I just think any W name sounds ridiculous with it especially as the kid learns to talk or if he/she has trouble with that sound.
