Chicken, lean turkey meat, beans, eggs, protein shakes and protein bars. Then DH is an avid hunter/fisherman so our freezer is pretty well stocked with tons of deer meat and fresh fish from the gulf so we tend to eat a lot of that too.

Chicken, turkey, egg whites, protein shakes.....cottage cheese, greek yogurt....nut butters have as much fat as protein, so I don't consider them a good protein source. 7 grams per 100 calories is low.

We eat meat every day be in chicken or beef, have beans frequently, and usually have eggs at breakfast. We have nuts/nut butters often, as well, and while I can't have dairy the rest of my family has whole milk, yogurt and cheese on a regular basis, too.

We cut back on red meat a while ago, so now I'm eating a ton of fish (the low mercury ones). Fish is so expensive where we live though! When I was growing up, we caught a lot of the fish we ate... although now that I think about it, I probably got more than my RDA of mercury that way.

Anyway I'd love to mix it up with some other sources of protein. Where do you get your protein?
