(I have been asked not to get all crazy with themes, and I'm down with that. Plus--depending on when we TTC--we may only live in the house for a matter of months after the baby's born, so I don't want to baby-it-up only to have to take everything down if/when we put the house on the market.) I will probably just put up a few child-friendly pictures, and whatever gifts the baby receives (stuffed animals, etc), and of course change the furniture (exercise bike, old TV and such might need to find a new home to make room for crib, changing table, etc.). The room is light bluish grey and will stay that way for either gender. I really don't care for the very childish, theme-y nurseries and I definitely didn't want to use a licensed character. We painted the accent wall burnt orange and placed a 7 ft tree decal (etsy) with an Owl and some birds on that wall. The tree, owl, and birds are a mix of brown, orange, and chartreuse and so is the bedding (had to sew it myself to get that color combo). Crib, dresser, and upholstered glider in espresso. The starting point was the crib bedding, which is the green and yellow ABC set from Pottery Barn.
