I cook from scratch or do leftovers Monday - Thursday. We usually get takeout on Fridays. Weekends are usually up in the air - we might eat out one meal but the rest will usually come up with something quickly at home.

I usually cook from scratch (or mostly from scratch) Monday - Thursday. Friday we go out to eat. Saturday and Sunday are usually leftovers or take out, or we go to my parents' house for dinner.

I usually try to make enough for two meals - so 2-3 nights of making meals from scratch. Friday is usually take-out and some Saturdays we like to go out to dinner.

We usually schedule 5 nights of cooking, one night out, and one night that is a frozen meal. We also usually have extra frozen/easy meals available for those nights where you SHOULD cook but just can't manage to do it!

Usually any leftovers are frozen and eaten for lunches during the week, although lately we have been freezing them for after the baby arrives.

We cook from scratch 5 nights a week. One night is usually a big two night meal and one night of leftovers. We also make enough for lunches for everyone.

Typically Asian one night and / or fish one night. Then some kind of meat protein the other nights. Always a veg and starch/carb.
Before I got laid off we would get take out once a week; not any more!

I usually cook from scratch 4 nights during the week. Sometimes I really don't feel like cooking then we'll order in one night.

We eat out with friends on Friday night.

Saturday night we usually go over to our friend's house for dinner.

Sunday we're usually home and I cook something quick and easy.

I cook on weeknights when my husband is home for dinner, which is usually 2-3 nights/week (he has night school 2 nights/week and plays bball sometimes a 3rd night). Nights when he isn't home we do "pickup dinners" which means usually either frozen food or prepared salads or something super easy since we cook for ourselves and eat separately. We go out to dinner on Saturdays, and Sunday we usually either pick up take-out for dinner or we get something prepared/super easy from the grocery store. I don't cook on weekends as a rule (unless it is breakfast) lol.

I usually cook Sunday - Thursday though we might have leftovers one of those nights. Then on Friday and Saturday we either have take-out or DH is in charge. I have absolved myself of all meal responsibility on those nights!

I cook from scratch at least 4 nights a week. With our schedules now I either make a dinner the night before so that I just have to reheat it for E (so I made tonight's dinner last night) or prep something for the slow cooker.

Friday nights are normally take-out nights--pizza, Chinese or BBQ. Saturday is usually snack-around/finish any leftovers, or go out. Sunday I meal plan and grocery shop for the week, and usually make a nicer at-home meal for us (we don't eat together during the week). Grilling, now that the weather is getting nice. Sometimes we'll grill on Saturday, too...

We usually do:
Monday- soup
Tuesday- fish
Wednesday- Mexican
Thursday- pasta
Friday- sandwiches/burgers/pizza- "fun" night

I rarely plan the weekends, we sort of come up with stuff as we go if we don't have plans to go out, or get take out. It depends on my husbands schedule, but he often likes to try to cook on the weekends because he misses it- usually a Thai or Indian dish. We used to eat out a lot, but don't anymore.

Eta: we eat leftovers for lunch. Almost everything is from scratch, except Friday is sometimes frozen- like veggie or salmon burgers.

We almost never ever eat out...it's a mix of frozen foods reheated & cooking from scratch. I often have an element of both in every dinner.

ETA: Saturday nights are our leftover night

We go through phases, but we have a fairly steady routine right now:

Per week,
2-3 nights cooking from scratch
2 nights cooking from convenience items (like frozen ravioli, veggie burgers, etc)
1 night leftovers, random, or clean out the fridge
1-2 nights take out (or going out to eat)

What's it like at your house? Do you have a routine, or do you switch it up a lot?
