If they aren't significantly better than urgent care, I would just so the urgent care today. I would call that. If not I would go in. Does he look like he's using his belly to breathe? Not normal, but working at it more than usual? Or just when running?</p> <p>My little guy had a cough last year for a few weeks so I called and they told me if its just a cough to come in at our appt that evening, but if he starts wheezing to come right in. I didn't want to catastrophize and waited turns out his oxygen was really low and they put him on a nebulizer immediately. He has had a cough for a couple days, and today is wheezing when he runs around. His fever is down with Motrin, but he is still coughing a lot. Would you go to the pediatric urgent care (they are pretty great and cost is the same as a regular ped visit) to check for pneumonia, or wait it out and see if he is feeling better tomorrow? </p>
