I tell the truth but I leave it very minimal.
"YOUR LO STTN?!"
.."Yep:)"
"LUCKYY!"
"Yep"
haha...I mean they can't seriously expect every baby to be the same.
I had a crappy pregnancy so I get pissed every time someone is like, "Oh, you had things to easy." Yeeeah, whatever.

Yeah, depends on who it is. Our baby has been pretty easy so far and I know it's tougher for others.

I answer honestly, but it's usually prefaced by "lately he's been...." so it's never totally positive or totally negative just that it is what it is.

I tell the truth but I don't give details unless someone asks me, especially when it comes to how my LO sleeps. It's a sensitive subject and I never initiate a conversation about it.

Where I used to live I felt like mommies were super competitive and so I just lied, otherwise I felt like daggers were being sent through my soul.

We moved when LO was a year and I'm much more comfortable with the mommies around here. We can talk about all the good and bad and brag and commiserate and there's not that competitive, 'I'm going to kill you with my eyes' vibe, so luckily I don't feel the need to lie anymore.

do you lie to make them feel better?

I have a few close friends with LO's the same age as DD and they have been having some teething issues and sleeping problems. I'll admit, our LO is pretty easy to handle and we haven't had any major problems but when my friends ask how she is is sleeping, teething, etc. I tend to lie a little and say she has been fussier than normal. Which isn't a COMPLETE lie, but she really isn't much harder to handle, and still STTN. For some reason I feel really guilty when my LO is doing so well, but I should feel proud as a parent shouldn't I?

What do you do? Do you answer them honestly or do you try and make them feel a little better and not 'brag' about your LO?

ETA: I'm going to add that it wasn't always easy, we had our major BF issues for the first 3 months.
