My lo is a little over 11 months and for the past few weeks has been fighting her second nap like crazy some days. While some days she takes 2 naps no problem. I did some research and learned its best to hold into 2 naps as long as possible or at least 12 months, and that if they fight the second nap- try to limit the morning nap to 1 hour or 45 minutes. That is our biggest problem bc lo takes a super long morning nap sometimes, but then will refuse to sleep from like 11/12 until bedtime, ugh! So I'm going to try limiting the morning nap so she is tired enough for her pm one and see how it goes!

My LO is 13 months and started daycare fulltime this month . . . in her class, they have 1 nap from 12-2 . . . so she switched for daycare. She sometimes takes 2 naps on the weekends though. It hasn't been a perfect transition, but at least she is taking a good solid nap once a day. She just likes to wake up suuuuuper early, so it makes it tough for her teachers to keep her up sometimes (sometimes they hold her while she takes a 20 minute cat nap).

LO started fighting naps a lot around that age and went down to one nap around 11 months. She has never been a good sleeper, but she turned into a MUCH happier kid once she dropped to one nap.
I was worried that it was too early for one nap, but she seems to like it much more so I'll take it :)

DD didn't make the switch to one nap until she was older than 16 months old. I don't remember how we did it, but it wasn't too much fighting.

DS made the switch earlier, because we were always on the go and I didn't want to make DD sit at home all day. We got rid of the morning nap, which was the one we most skipped anyways. He sort of went along with it, but it took time before he was totally rid of it. I just ended up trying to keep him stimulated so he wouldn't sleep.

DS is 10.5 months old. He has been fighting his second nap for a while now. If he does sleep it is only for 30 minutes or so.

He has also been waking up more at night (last night he refused to sleep anywhere but on me in the glider, wouldn't even sleep in our bed!)

Should I make the switch to one nap? and if so how? It seems so early for him to switch!
