Because you aren't quite 12 yet--you can say you're "almost 12". But I consider saying, "i'm 12 weeks" to say you've surpassed the 12-week mark. If i'm shy by one day, I may round up... I always get SUPER confused by those stupid apps that send me 12 week notifications when i hit 11 weeks, though! Just 2 more months!" But it's actually a little under 3 more months, so then I have to explain that - and it can get exhausting. I learned early on that most people, including DH, cannot process weeks anyway. I would tell him how many weeks, and then someone would ask him how far along I was, and he would get all jumbled and give really scientific answers like, "She's in her first mester." So we had to make it easier for him and I noticed that it made sense to regular people too. So right now, I'm just over 28 weeks, and so I'll say 7 months. So Nov 1 is my due date and that would be 9 months, so today, i'm about 7.5 months along. but earlier in the pregnancy when i was closer to the conception date, then i'd count forward from the date of LMP. Saturday's are my milestone day, so on like Wednesday of each week I would start rounding up to the next one in my head or if anyone asked!!
