At 3 DD can get undressed herself. She wipes okay for pee and needs some help after poop. She's super independent and often doesn't tell us when she goes. And I don't think they help much at school. So Every couple weeks she gets really red and rashly from not wiping well enough.

E is 28 months and can pull clothes up and down. She still needs help maneuvering onto the big toilet. I have her wipe but who knows how good it is

She isn't fully trained but she can take her pants off herself and pull her pull-up or panties down. She can't figure out pants with a button or clasp yet. We need to work on that.

When we potty trained at 27 months, LO was able to take off pants and underwear but sometimes needed help getting them back on. She is now 3 1/2 and only recently started wiping on her own for poops so we have asked her to let us check after, and so far so good. She moved up to the next room at daycare recently and they let them wipe themselves so that is why we made the change.

Our 2.5 year old can pee totally solo (pants up and down, proper wiping, etc). When she poops she needs help to wipe.

@TiredmommaMD: my almost 3.5 year old son get everything off, but not back on. My almost 4.5 year old daughter started wiping after poo last fall and resulted in a nasty UTI. Now, at almost 5.5 I trust her to wipe correctly. I think my son will be able to wipe after poo sooner, because there are less "rules," With my daughter, we just kept reinforcing "front to back, drop it" over and over again. I would watch her and help her for a long time.

At what age was your child able to get their own pants and underwear off and back on to go potty? At what age were they able to wipe effectively after going poo? Our LO1 is 2.5 and is really great about making it to the potty but has to have our help with all these things which is tricky if we are in the middle of something else (like LO2 is nursing). I have two questions really, how old was you child when they could do these things and how did you "teach" them how to do them?
