This week is the first time I've felt any movements that were strong enough I wandered if I could have felt them from the outside. They are still inconsistent though, so I haven't had DH try to feel them this week. I'm sure my belly chub doesn't help! I think if we'd tried earlier he would have felt it, because I could feel it from the outside if I put my hand there. Our doctor said my placenta is in the back, and I'm a small person, so that is why he felt it so soon. Its hard to get the timing right though. I hear a lot of people get to feel baby kick for the first time if they put their face on your belly. Maybe get DH to lay his head on your belly and talk to the baby. I try to get DH to do that every couple of days or so anyways so she can recognize her daddy's voice. Baby does seem to get a lot more active when she hears him (something I read that is true!). Also, do you notice when baby moves a lot more? Like for me, it's always as soon as I get in bed every night, so I make DH try to feel and talk to her around that time. So one night (I must have been 21-25 weeks, somewhere in there), we got under the covers (to make it super dark) and then shined a flashlight right onto my bare belly and our LO just totally kicked up a storm. That's when hubs felt her for the first time.
