A few months later he started to sing the ABC song. I was really surprised when he was able to identify because I never really taught him. We talk about it sometimes, but he hasn't shown much interest in singing songs (he'd rather listen, we sing all the time). Every letter is "A!" We would play a game where i would tell her to go bring me "Y" or "Z" and she would come running back with the letter. And then i bought this Hape alphabet puzzle last month that she just LOVED! That definitely helped as well.</p> <p>@sandy: I found that i had to separate the upper and lowercase alphabets because it was getting to be too confusing. Singing at 22 months is awesome! At 22 months she was singing the alphabet consistently. At 25 months she's a letter pro and can do letter puzzles and tell you their sounds. Do you have letters out that you show them or books? That's something we haven't done - teach letters. She can point out the alphabet with a few exceptions (X, Q, W, N) and repeat back what i recite (with a few exceptions like C, L Q and W).</p> <p>I haven't been able to find much on this, as a lot of people say learning the alphabet isn't really a milestone. When did your LO say the alphabet or recite it on their own? </p>
