She didn't REALLY start on table foods til about 12 months! But about a month later she has started eating lots of different foods, biting off pieces from a larger piece of food, and rejecting being spoon-fed altogether. All on her own, so I wouldn't worry about it. We also started with mum mums since they were bigger than puffs. Once he got his grip down, he understood the whole put it in your mouth and eat it. Right now at 13-14 months, he's slowly learning to self feed with a spoon. He does well with all different thicknesses of purees, but won't pick things up off his tray and put them in his mouth. He is 7.5 mo. </p>
