He looked so uncomfortable. We had uppababy messa which had a really high hight and weight limit. He will had room in it but was much happier in the convertible.</p> <p>Lo2 is smaller and fit the Mesa until a year. It never crossed my mind that I could just leave it in the vehicle and treat it like a convertible! That would be handy for when she falls asleep in it and I want to keep her asleep for a while, so I could just pull it out then. So I pretty much treated it as a convertible, but had the option to take it out if they fell asleep or I needed to be able to put the baby down safely (hello, rest stop bathrooms on a road trip!). I just didn't connect the dots that I could leave the seat installed in the car and just move him in and out of the seat. I actually dreaded switching her because it was easier to have her contained.
