And then I bought two pairs of jeans - a nice pair of skinnies and a pair of a slim boot cut. It seems like I just ended up an odd size. Now I'm pregnant again and eagerly awaiting the return of my maternity pants. Around 8-9 months pp, those were too big but I could fit into my pre-pregnancy work pants again. Like, month 3 i purchased a pair of inexpensive old navy jeans, a size up from my usual size. By month 5, i was able to fit into some old pants. I just wore maternity pants so soon PP and then wore a lot of dresses and such when I went back to work (it was July, so I avoided pants anyways!). I was down to my pre-pregnancy weight quickly, but due to a new body shape my old pants just did not work. I started with Old Navy since they were cheap, and eventually gave in and bought some nicer items when the new body shape appeared to be here to stay. I think my hips might be wider this time, but part of the problem is that I bought most of my pants while I was at my all-time lowest weight while I was nursing DD#1 (another 10 lbs below my pre-preg weight). Right now I'm living in maternity pants and leggings, but I'm really ready to see the maternity stuff go, and leggings just don't cut it all the time. With my first pregnancy I was very lucky to fit back into my old clothes within a few weeks, so I haven't experienced this before. How long do I give it before I break down and buy some new jeans? </p>
