I had heard so many stories about people not being able to breastfeed, I was really afraid I would not be able to. (I think it came in the mail while we were at the birth center). We were lucky not to need it until I introduced a bottle at 4 weeks. But I was glad to have it just in case. I'm getting a new accessory kit (tubing, shields, etc.) so it's basically a new pump. I left it at home when I went to the hospital (would have used a hospital pump if needed or sent someone home to go get it).
