Now, I want three same as DH. My reason for three is so silly, but that's okay. We were watching Transparent and as much as the adult kids were messed up in some way I loved how they were still a three-legged stool of support for each other and their parents. I have seen that in IRL too since DH has a great relationship with his four siblings and now that my relationship is much better with my brother I am willing and wanting to have children not just a child. Lo is 6 months, and I'm starting to think, "oh that colic wasn't that bad!" I swore I would never forget how much I hated being pregnant, the hyperemseis, the crying all day and all night. Nope, it's starting to fade! I love having one child, but I also feel like there's someone maybe missing. Plus, I would like DD to have a sibling. No guarantee they'll be close, and no guarantee they'll hate each other. But after we had our daughter 3 years ago we were either one-and-done or going to wait at least 4 years to have another. When our DD hit 2.5 years we were certain we could handle another earlier. Now I'm 27 wks pregnant with baby due in Dec and we are very happy with 2 kids, 3 years a part. I guess we played it by ear, and never really "knew"! I suppose if it feels right in the future to have a 3rd, then we will. But, after this first I know I'll be done at two. DH is older as it is and adding a second is reaching his cutoff age that he no longer wants to handle a newborn. Some days are so tough he swears he doesn't want any more kids but I know he does :silly: Our goal is to ttc again when LO1 is about 18 months. Currently pregnant with LO2 and this pregnancy has been much harder on me. Something has clicked in DH's brain that we must now be two and through. Truth be told, I think he was always leaning towards 2 silently since its what he grew up with and feels its an ideal family size. I'm not sure how I'll feel when LO2 gets here (due in November), I'm hoping everything will feel complete.
